Title:

"Dragonswing"

Airdate:

November 3, 1993

Synopsis:

Peter forms a "dragonswing" in order to rescue his friend's fiancée from a group of survivalists.

Paul's Scenes:

Only two, and they're not very long.

Comments:

There is a six-month gap between "Straightjacket" and this episode because of a hiatus in production.

This is the first episode we see Rykker (played by Robert Vaughn of The Man from U.N.C.L.E.) and Steadman (played by Patrick MacNee of The Avengers).  Both are mercenaries from Paul's past, and Steadman is the man who set Paul and Annie up on a blind date.

This is the first time (I think) that we see Paul wearing that long, gray parka.  It's my least favorite of all of his coats.

As much as I dislike certain things about this episode, I still love the fact that Paul was the shooter in the tower.  I thought that was way cool.

Favorite Quotes:

Peter (to Paul): "You know, I got out of that orphanage and made something of my life, thanks to you."

* * * * *

Paul: "The FBI brought me in eight months ago, after they torched the town."

Peter: "The FBI brought in a police captain?"

Paul: "Well, I have a history.  You know that, Peter."

* * * * *

Paul (to Peter, after he saved him from being shot): "Thought you might need a little back up."

Pet Peeves:

Other than the absurd storyline and ridiculous dialogue?  Yeah, several.  First of all, Paul is not in it nearly enough, especially considering he is the one who brought in Steadman and Rykker.  He could have at least had scenes with them.  It would have been really nice if he and Steadman had talked and Steadman had asked about Annie since he was the one who introduced them.

I also find it preposterous that Rykker knew Caine and had visited him at the temple.

RL Factor:

Still pretty good, even though you can tell that during the six-month lay-off his condition got worse.
