87th Precinct Links

All but two of the 87th Precinct episodes -- "Out of Order" and "Step Forward" -- are available on video. Both Ron Evans and Marty Martino offer the other episodes on their websites (Marty does not have "Lady Killer" or "My Friend, My Enemy"). Marty's tapes are more expensive than Ron's, but the quality of his tapes is far superior. I have dealt with both men and found them to be very honest and reliable. The TV Collector Back Issues

As noted, some of the information about the series came from The TV Collector, a publication for television enthusiasts that was produced by Diane Albert. Even though the magazine is no longer in publication, there are still back issues available, including the issue that featured the article on 87th Precinct. I highly recommend it to anyone who is a Lansing fan, a fan of the show, or a fan of McBain's books. It contains interviews with Bob, Norman Fell, and Ron Harper, and is full of lots of great photos, many of which I don't have. There is also a lot of detailed information about the show, and some great anecdotes from the actors.
