Killer By Night was a made-for-TV movie that was broadcast
on CBS on January 7, 1972. It starred Robert Wagner, Diane Baker, and Greg Morris. Wagner and Baker play healthcare
professionals trying to control a city-wide diptheria outbreak, and Morris plays a cop in search of a killer. They find
out their jobs are connected when it is discovered that the murderer (Lansing) is unknowingly suffering from and
spreading the disease.
This movie has not been released on VHS or DVD, but I do have a copy of it in

NOTES:
--Robert Wagner has many TV and film credits over the course of his long career,
but is probably best known for his role as Jonathan Hart on the hit TV show Hart to Hart, which co-starred Stefanie
Powers.
--Greg Morris is probably best known for his role as Barney Collier on the classic
television series Mission: Impossible.
--Theodore Bikel appeared in an episode of The Equalizer, "Day of the
Covenant", but it was not one in which RL appeared.
--The late Ivor Francis was Jonathan Frakes' father-in-law. Frakes (of Star
Trek: The Next Generation fame) is married to Ivor's daughter, Genie Francis, who was half of the most popular couple in
daytime TV history when she and Tony Geary appeared on General Hospital as Luke and Laura Spencer.
--Mercedes McCambridge won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 1949 for her role
in All the King's Men. Later on in her career, she provided the raspy voice of the possessed girl (Linda Blair) in
The Exorcist.
